VB Greenhouses and Hydroponic Green Valley Mexico have completed Phase IV
Monday 9 October 2017
VB Greenhouses completed delivery of the fourth greenhouse phase for Hydroponic Green Valley in North Mexico. The project is a complete greenhouse project, delivered with Dutch input and knowledge, and contains a total surface of 49.200 m². The new phase has beene connected to the existing greenhouses. The total surface of all buildings realized by VB is, all together, more than 200.000 m2, exclusive the operation room of amply 3.000 m2, which is executed with a sandwich panel cover. With this project VB Greenhouses delivers a total solution for the production of vegetables, tomatoes and bell peppers.
The advanced plastic greenhouse is executed with a BOAL aluminum gutter with several innovations for the integration of harmonica insect-netting and the prevention of dripping condensation. The greenhouse is equipped with a hot-dip galvanized trellis construction of 9.60 m. Two connected steel arches make the span for the plastic from gutter to gutter, which made it possible to build quickly. The greenhouse roof provided with continuous air inlets with harmonica insect-netting, which in this climate limits the pressure of insects considerably.
The local constructors have worked very hard to complete phase IV in time. The foundations of the latest greenhouse expansion were started late 2016. Completion of the fourth phase of this advanced greenhouse project was at the end of June 2017.
