The greenhouse division of VB Group and Tomita Technologies have recently completed a turnkey greenhouse for Fujitsu in Iwata, Japan. The greenhouse project covers an area of 19,650 m2. Adjacent to the Venlo greenhouse a distribution building has been built with 16 meter trellis. This area of the greenhouse is covered with white coated tempered glass. To improve the outside of the distribution building a more appealing look, the gables have been covered with green coated glass. »

Last month the official start of the new ‘Elite’ greenhouse for Dümmen Orange, location Rheinberg, Germany was made with an official ground-breaking ceremony. The greenhouse and climate divisions of VB Group from the Netherlands work together on the new state of the art greenhouses with an approximate surface of 10.000 m2. »

Early June the greenhouse division of VB Group started the construction of a 10 hectare greenhouse project in Siberia, near the student city Tomsk in Russia.
The preparations and material deliveries for the greenhouse project are close to being completed and the Russian builders have started the construction works. The greenhouse must be completed before the raid of the winter, which starts early in Siberia. »

VB Greenhouses, a VB Group member, started the delivery of the fourth greenhouse phase for Hydroponic Green Valley in North Mexico. The project is a complete greenhouse project, delivered with Dutch input and knowledge and contains a total surface of 49.200 m². The new phase will be connected to the existing greenhouses. The total surface of all buildings realized by VB will be all together more than 200.000 m2, exclusive the operation room of amply 3.000 m2, which is executed in sandwich.
With this project VB Greenhouses delivers a total solution for the production of vegetables.

VB Greenhouse Projects, member of VB Group, has recently completed a ‘state of the art’ greenhouse project for strawberry production for Haisheng in Xi’An, China. The greenhouse was officially opened during an opening ceremony on September 28, 2016. The project was completed in a record time of only 7 months. »

Due to available subsidies, low interest rates and good market conditions with attractive prices for fresh produce, the acreage with high tech greenhouses in Japan is growing steadily. Over the last couple of years, VB Group has been involved in the realization of several high tech greenhouses and was responsible for the construction of several turnkey projects, as well as installing heating systems for greenhouse projects with our Japanese partner Tomita Technologies. »

Three years ago the Grootscholte brothers toke over a tomato greenhouse in Smidsschorrepolder, situated on a parcel of 26 hectares. A year later they bought the last available 42 hectares in the same polder. With the new construction of 18 hectares the establishment grows to 28 hectares greenhouse, so this family business owns in total 80 hectares glass greenhouses, spread over 6 locations. The expansion does not only mean an enlargement of the area, but is also meant to realize renovation in the sector. »

On 30th of May seven Dutch supplying companies of the horticultural sector, among which VB Climate, officially have formed the public-private partnership Horticultural Connection. On that day the signing of a covenant between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Netherland Enterprise Agency and these seven companies took place. »
